There is a new destination added to the Dublin page which is worth a visit. Bull Island is a protected area for wildlife and is a great place to see Stonechats. These are one of my favourite birds as they are so colourful and are happy to pose on grass stalks long enough for you to get great shots!

The beach on Bull Island is called Dollymount Beach and it is easily accessible. If you check out the dunes behind the beach you will come across these little beauties. Walk slowly towards them, and you will be surprised how close you can get!

You can also see Stonechats at Turvey Nature Reserve in North County Dublin. The photos below were taken in December 2015.
