Flight along the Estuary

Malahide Estuary in North County Dublin is a tidal estuary that attracts various types of birds at all times. As the tide is coming in. various birds have to leave sandbanks or shallow water and move on, or else are attracted to new sandbanks as the tide goes out.    


There is a new destination added to the Dublin page which is worth a visit. Bull Island is a protected area for wildlife and is a great place to see Stonechats. These are one of my favourite birds as they are so colourful and are happy to pose on grass stalks long enough for you …
