Cape Cod is just an hour south of Boston in Massachusetts, USA and is a great pace to visit any time of year. Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1944 to provide habitat for migratory birds.
Sandy beaches run for eight miles off the elbow of Cape Cod, forming the barrier islands of North and South Monomoy. If you drive to the location on the map, you can park safely for the day and go exploring. See more information in the blog entry!
While on the Cape, you should go for a walk around one of the many Cranberry Bogs that you will find there. Massachusetts is well known for cranberry production and most of the bogs on Cape Cod are considered small holdings as many of them are around 20 acres or less.
